Our Story
The Humble Beginning
Maut & Vignette B.V. started in 2014 with a single product: the green Umweltplakette sticker for German low-emission zones. We bought them in bulk and mailed them to drivers across Europe. That’s right—thousands of envelopes, all filled by hand.
Adapting to the Digital Era
One product turned into a few. Then a few more. When countries started switching to digital vignettes—including the Czech vignette in 2021—we adapted our entire process. No more envelopes. Just fast, digital delivery by email. Although some products, like the German environmental sticker, are still sent the old-fashioned way.
Founding Maut & Vignette B.V.
In 2022, we consolidated our digital platforms—previously managed under Moonshots Online Marketing—into Maut & Vignette B.V., newly established in the Netherlands. This allowed us to fully focus on the European tolling market, starting with the launch of Czechvignette.cz. Our mission hasn’t changed to this day: make buying a vignette simple and stress-free for every traveller.
A European Leader
Today, we operate tolling platforms in 15+ European countries and have processed more than 100,000 orders. Our team has grown to 50+ people, but our approach remains the same: fast, reliable, and always in your language.
And yes, we drive the roads ourselves!
We’ve crossed Austrian mountain passes, driven French autoroutes, and most recently, explored nearly every Czech motorway and major border crossing. When we write a guide or answer your question, we speak from firsthand experience, because we’ve been there.

In late 2025 and early 2026, our team drove almost the entire Czech motorway network. We tested the vignette vending machines in Prague, crossed the borders, checked how vignette validation works in real-life situations, and documented everything on video.
